She was first bit by the accounting bug when she took a summer Principles of Accounting I class. She recalls her professor loudly saying in class for all to hear, If anyone needs help preparing for the second exam, talk to Kelsey since she scored the highest on the first one. She then knew that accounting clicked for her and never looked back!
She earned her bachelors degree in business administration and accountancy at The University of Kansas. After graduation, she was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte and became a CPA. She then earned her PhD at University of Southern California. 泭
Since then, she has taught泭managerial accounting courses at University of Melbourne and University of Denver. She is fascinated with泭infusing psychology principles into accounting research, looking at泭narcissism and its泭effect on accounting decisions. 泭
Dr. Dworkis will be teaching ACC 1010 Fundamentals of Accounting, ACC 2010 Principles of Accounting I, and ACC 3400 Cost Accounting classes this Fall 24 term.
